It's Already December Already!

Happy December, Everyone!

The boys and girls of Saturday's Radio have a smidge of news for you, though for the most part things are pretty quiet here at Saturday's Radio World Headquarters.

First, we've decided to set aside our "Weekly Freebie" free-song-of-the-week deal, for the time being. We've gone back offering folks two free songs per album. You can find these on the page now titled, you guessed it, FreeSongs. You can also get these, again for free, from our Quick-Stop Shop on the Home page or you can stream them from the Saturday's Radio Jukebox, which is conveniently located on the left side of our site.

We've also gone back to our $3.99 per album download deal, if you buy through CDBaby. Yep, full album downloads for only $3.99. Where are you going to find a better deal than that? Not on iTunes or Amazon, that's for sure! (Though you are more than welcome to download our albums from there if you'd like!)

Our current Music Poll asks if you like Christmas music? You can vote over there on the left. In our last poll we asked which currently touring rock veterans you'd like to see the most. The Who beat out Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, and the Rolling Stones. I was supposed to see The Who in Washington, DC, but something came up and I wasn't able to go. Such is life.

Celebrating birthdays this week are:

  • J Mascis (Monday, December 10)
  • Meg White (Monday, December 10)
  • Jon Brion (Tuesday, December 11)
  • Sheila E. (Wednesday, December 12)
  • Tom Verlaine (Thursday, December 13)
  • Steve Forbert (Thursday, December 13)
  • Mike Scott (Friday, December 14)
  • Beth Orton (Friday, December 14)
  • Paul Simonon (Saturday, December 15)

Happy Birthday y'all! Thanks for the music!

"Until I realized that rock music was my connection to the rest of the human race, I felt like I was dying, for some reason, and I didn't know why."  - Bruce Springsteen

Take care & see you soon.
