Weekly Update - September Knows + new Opera Alley video

Hey Everybody -

The boys and girls of Saturday's Radio have put together a new video. This one's a slideshow featuring all the photos from the Opera Alley CD package to go along with the title track of that album. See below for the embedded video.

Several of our favorite musical types are celebrating birthdays this week. Dave Stewart is celebrating his today, Sunday; David Lowery on Monday; Ben Lee, Richard Ashcroft, Ted Leo, Moby, Mick Talbot, and Mickey Hart on Tuesday; Ben Folds and George Jones on Wednesday; Zak Starkey, Don Was, and Fiona Apple on Thursday; and Ron Blair, Kenny Jones, and Peter Zaremba on Saturday. Happy Birthday Week, y'all!

Last week's Music Poll had a bit of a low turnout. We asked folks to pick their favorite Beatle and only got four votes. Paul got two while George and John each got one.

This week we're asking you to pick the best rock album of the 90's. There were tons of great records, but we used the top picks from Rolling Stone magazine. Thus your choices are Nirvana's Nevermind, Radiohead's OK Computer, U2's Achtung Baby, Pearl Jam's Ten, and "other". As huge R.E.M. fans, we'd have to choose "other" and pick Automatic for the People. But those other records were very important to us too. Let's see if we can get more than four votes this week.

Don't forget that all September long The Truth Hurts is only 99¢ at CDBaby. We sure do appreciate that people have been downloading our records. We don't know who most of you are, but we love you!

Speaking of folks we love, we've picked up loads of Twitter 'followers' this week. Thanks so much for allowing us into your Twitter feed!

Here's the video for "Opera Alley"
